Reports: Jos Buttler to miss Rajasthan’s game against Delhi

In the match against Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals’ star Jos Buttler injured his finger and may miss out in their upcoming match against Delhi Capitals. Notably, his injury required multiple stitches on his left hand’s little finger due to which he didn’t come to bat in his preferred position, the opener’s slot.

In his absence, spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted up in the order but the plan didn’t quite work out as the 36-year-old was sent back to the pavilion in the fourth over of the innings during Rajasthan’s chase. Jos came to bat at number three and hit a boundary and six and was looking in good touch before Nathan Ellis got the better of him in the last over of the powerplay.

Meanwhile, Buttler, who got the best catch award in the match, came to collect his cheque with a distinct white strapping on his finger. As per a report from The Times of India, he may not able to recover and play another game in just 72 hours and thus, RR management can give him rest in their upcoming contest against the David Warner-led side.
