Rohit Sharma quizzes paparazzi with hilarious remark

India’s all-format skipper Rohit Sharma left for Bangladesh to join the rest of his compatriots in Dhaka on Thursday, the 1st of December. The Indian skipper gave a hilarious reply after he was snapped up by the paparazzi at the Mumbai airport while leaving for Bangladesh.

The Men in Blue will tour the neighboring country for a three-match ODI series, which will be followed by a Test series. The tour of Bangladesh will be India’s last assignment for this year. The Indian skipper was rested for the recently concluded New Zealand series along with several senior players including batting stalwart Virat Kohli.

However, he will return to action in the upcoming series against Bangladesh. The flamboyant Indian opener struggled for the majority of the T20 World Cup in Australia as India crashed out of the tournament in the semi-final stage against England. When the Indian batting ace was wished good luck for the upcoming series, he said, “Kya karte ho tum log aisa photo lekar (what do you guys do with these pictures.)” to which the paps replied, “sir ye hamari duty hai (Sir this is our duty).”

Earlier, former Indian cricketer, Hemang Badani stated that it wasn’t practical to play Rohit Sharma in every series due to the hectic cricket schedule. Badani’s remarks came in the wake of the suggestion of Hardik Pandya’s appointment as the next T20I skipper for India.

“With the World Cup coming and with us still at a phase where we aren’t clear about our side, we necessarily have to try out a lot more players. Yes, to a large extent it does help to have the same captain in all formats but it’s practically impossible for Rohit Sharma to be able to play and sustain in every series. They will have to find the right balance but it’s not possible for Rohit to play every series, that’s not gonna happen,” Badani told Hindustan Times in an exclusive chat ahead of the Bangladesh ODIs.
