Rohit, Suryakumar among 35 probables for Mumbai’s off-season training camp

Former India cricketer Raju Kulkarni-led Mumbai selection committee on Friday, June 2, named 35 probable players for an off-season training camp scheduled to be held in the city next week. The list includes big names such as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

The other members of the Indian team who made it to the list are Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur. However, they’re unlikely to participate in the camp as they’re currently in England for the World Test Championship final against Australia starting from June 7, at the Oval.

The other known names called include senior fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni, all-rounder Shivam Dube, who performed exceptionally in IPL 2023 for the champions, Chennai Super Kings, and young batting stars Sarfaraz Khan and Prithvi Shaw.

Shreyas Iyer also named for camp while being on his road to recovery

Iyer, who went through a back surgery in April for his recurring back injury, has also been named for the camp. Iyer was supposed to start his rehabilitation program at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru two weeks after his surgery.
