‘She said Yes’ – Indian fan proposes to girlfriend during AUS vs IND 2nd ODI

India and Australia are currently involved in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Sydney Cricket Ground. With this series, the spectators also returned to the ground after most of the matches were played behind closed doors due to COVID-19 outbreak. The state government has allowed 50% of the crowds and with it, the excitement is back on the field even for the players.

Fans do different kind of antics in the stadium during the match to hog the limelight and even the viewers enjoy the same. During the first ODI between the two teams, a fan ran into the field with a placard taking a dig at Adani, over the ongoing issue of coal mine project in Australia. The protests even reached outside the SCG and it became a talking point for the day.

On Sunday, it wasn’t a controversy but an interesting incident took place that left everyone chuffed in the stadium. It took place after 20 overs were completed in the second innings. An Indian fan proposed his Australian girlfriend sitting on his knees and offering her a ring. The girl was understandably surprised and without much delay, she accepted the proposal even as the crowd in the stadium cheered for her.

The moment was a special one for the couple as the moment was captured on camera and millions watched. The video was soon shared on Twitter and it has gone viral in no time. Even the commentators enjoyed it and Glenn Maxwell also celebrated the moment clapping when it was shown on the big screen.
