Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan recreate infamous Roadies episode in hilarious new reel

Following an emphatic victory in the T20I series decider against New Zealand in Ahmedabad, dashing Indian opener Shubman Gill starred in a hilarious clip. The Indian batting ace recreated a famous audition clip from the reality show MTV Roadies, along with his opening partner Ishan Kishan and leggie Yuzvendra Chahal. Gill shared the rib-tickling video via his social media account.

Shubman Gill sent the record books tumbling with his maiden T20I hundred in the recently concluded T20I series finale. He also went on to register the highest score by an Indian batter in the shortest format of the game, helping India to their biggest margin of victory in T20Is. Following his sizzling knock with the bat, the star batter indulged in a bit of acting at the team hotel.

The young Indian opener was accompanied by Yuzvendra Chahal and Ishan Kishan, who recreated a viral audition scene from the Roadies. While Gill played the role of a contestant, Kishan enacted the role of judge Nikhil Chopra and Chahal played the part of Raghu Ram.

Shubman Gill posted the video via his Instagram account, writing, “Roadies reloaded via recreating our favourite moment😛.”

Chahal starts the video by imitating Raghu Ram, saying, “You have pissed me”. Ishan Kishan then gets in on the act as he gets up from his chair and shouts at Gill, who was playing the role of the contestant, and replies with a crying expression, “I have that intensity, I have that passion, I will make it, I will definitely make it”. As he says this, Kishan recreates Chinapa’s infamous antics where he mimics an angry gorilla. The southpaw even jumps over the head of Gill to conclude the hilarious clip.

Both Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill have been named in the red-ball squad for the first two Test matches against Australia later this month. While Gill is likely to open the innings along with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Kishan’s place in the eleven is not guaranteed, despite the absence of regular wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant.
