Three highest Individual IPL scores without hitting a four

The IPL is a platform where young players get an opportunity to fulfil their dream, and sometimes also a chance to represent the Indian team if they give their best in the games. Even cricket experts believe it is simpler to become a star in this competition than in any other format of the game.

Many players have played some brilliant knocks over the years, but there are some rare cases where the batters achieved their half-century without scoring a single four. Their knock surely included sixes, but it comprised zero fours. Let us have a look at three such individual scores:

Jos Buttler: 70*(47) vs RCB, IPL 2022
The Rajasthan Royals batter knocked the highest individual score in the history of IPL when he faced the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2022. He scored a magnificent 70*(47) to maintain his consistency and form in the game. Though his half-century went in vain, he hit six sixes in his innings and compiled the score without hitting a four.

Nitish Rana: 62* (34) vs. KXIP, IPL 2017

Nitish Rana hit an unbeaten 62*(34) in the tenth edition of the IPL against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Rana’s knock consisted of seven sixes as he added the crucial runs in the middle-order and led his team to a victory.

Sanju Samson: 61(31) vs GL, IPL 2017

In IPL 2017, Sanju represented the Delhi franchise and his team were chasing a target of 209 runs against the Gujarat Lions. Samson provided a great start to his team as he scored a 31-ball 61, without hitting a four. The stylish batter strung a 143-run partnership alongside Rishabh Pant for the second wicket and the two helped Delhi win the game by seven wickets.
