Three Indian cricketers who might make their international debut in 2022

Uncapped

India have begun the year of 2022 with a hard-fought Test series against South Africa. With the massive talent pool available in Indian cricket, there are cricketers who might make their international debut for the ‘Men in Blue’ in 2022. In this article, let us take a look at 3 such players.

3. Avesh Khan

Avesh Khan grabbed the spotlight with his excellent performance with the ball in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-arm pacer was the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament and scalped 24 wickets at a superb average of 18.75. Khan is fast, can get the ball to move, and can also bamboozle batters with his variations. And, with his impressive performances, it is only a matter of time before he gets to wear the Indian jersey this year.

2. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi is a bowler who can dry up the runs in the middle overs. He can also put pressure on the opposition and scalp wickets at regular intervals. The right-arm leg-spinner has played 23 matches in the IPL, and has picked up 24 wickets at an average of 25.25 and has given runs at an economy rate of under 7.

1. Shah Rukh Khan

Many heads turned towards Shah Rukh Khan’s direction when the Punjab Kings (PBKS) shelled out a sum of INR 5.25 Crores for him in the 2021 IPL auctions. He is a batter who can strike lusty blows at the fag end of the innings, and demolish bowling attacks once he gets going.  And, his strike rate of 134.21 in the 14th IPL season indicates the same. He can be a great addition to the Indian batting lineup, and in all likelihood, the right-hander will make his debut for India in 2022.
