Here are the top cricket records that Indian women cricketers hold in international cricket.

Most matches played in ODIs

Mithali Raj has played the most number of ODIs in women’s international cricket with 226 games to her name since her debut in 1999 for India. The right-hander is currently playing her sixth World Cup and is the only women’s cricketer to do so. The second on the list is another Indian, Jhulan Goswami who has played 30 games fewer than Mithali.

Most career runs in ODIs

It is not a surprise that Mithali Raj holds the record for the most number of runs in ODIs for women. The 39-year-old has scored 7632 runs at an average of 51.6 and is accumulating a lot more to her tally in recent times as well. Charlotte Edwards from England remains the closest with 5992 runs to Mithali’s record.

Jhulan Goswami has been with the Indian team since 2002 and it take a huge load of effort to be a medium pacer in women’s cricket for more than two decades. In 196 games, Goswami has 247 wickets at an average of 21.7 and with an impressive economy rate of 3.34. She held the number one position in ICC rankings for a long time for bowlers.

Most 50 plus scores in ODIs

Another record, that has been held by the veteran batter Mithali Raj as she has more than 69 scores of fifty-plus in ODIs and tops the chart for the record. The right-hander has scored seven centuries in her career alongside 62 fifties while the second on the list is England’s Charlotte Edwards with 55 scores of 50 plus.

Highest opening stand in ODIs

A record that has been not been held by either Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami from India came into place in 2017 when Punam Raut and Deepthi Sharma formed a massive opening partnership against Ireland. The duo scored 320 for the first wicket with both batters going on to make a century and it was carnage out there for the fans.
