Sometimes a batsman finds himself in such good form that he can pound the opposition bowling attack to shreds. He is at the peak of his powers and can hit the ball to wherever he wants to. There have been several occasions when Indian batsmen have struck massive scores in List A cricket. In this article, let us take a look at the three highest individual scores by Indian players in the List A format of the game.

3) Prithvi Shaw (227*)

In a clash between Mumbai and Puducherry that was held on 25th February 2021, Prithvi Shaw blazed his way to a 152-ball 227*. He scored 31 fours and 5 sixes in his knock and helped the Mumbai side pile up a total of 457/4.

Chasing a gargantuan target of 458, the Puducherry side was bowled out for a total of just 224, as the Mumbai outfit thrashed their opponents by a margin of 233 runs.

2) Shikhar Dhawan (248)

In the second place is Shikhar Dhawan. In an encounter between South Africa A and India A on 12th August 2013 that took place in Pretoria, Dhawan pounded his way to a belligerent 150-ball 248. Dhawan scored 30 fours and 7 sixes in his stay out in the middle, as India A side posted a total of 433/3. The South Africa A side gave a tough fight to their opponents but lost the match by 39 runs.

1) Rohit Sharma (264)

Rohit Sharma is the only Indian cricketer to have scored in excess of 250 in List A Cricket. And, he achieved this feat against the Sri Lankan side on 13th November 2014. Batting first, the Indian side scored a mammoth total of 404/5, with the ‘Hitman’ going berserk with the willow.

Sharma scored 264 off 173 deliveries, and his innings was embellished with 33 fours and 9 sixes. In reply, the Sri Lankan side was bowled out for just 251 and went down to India by 153 runs.
