Virat Kohli, Babar Azam practice together in nets

Two of the best batters in the modern-day era, Virat Kohli and Babar Azam were spotted having their practice sessions in alternate nets at the Gabba. The T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up fixtures have already started and India managed to pick up a crucial win over Australia on the back of the last over heroics from Mohammed Shami. Kohli played a breezy knock of 19 off 13 comprising one four and a six in the game.

On the other hand, Babar alongside Mohammad Rizwan was rested for the warm-up fixture against England. The likes of Shan Masood and Haider Ali were presented with chances at the top however, the side looked in complete disarray in both batting and bowling departments with an agonising defeat against England. A lot will rely on Babar’s form at the top if Pakistan has to win the mega ICC event.

Coming back to the video, Kohli was happy to middle the ball in the nets and took on the short ball in an aggressive mode of approach. In the alternate nets, Babar was having his throwdowns and the Pakistan batter did take a look at Kohli when the latter was batting. The two have shared a decent bond of friendship so far and it will be an interesting battle to watch out for in the India-Pakistan game on October 23.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli pulled off a stunning one-handed catch in the warm-up game which left the fans in awe and grabbed a lot of attention on social media. He also made a brilliant fielding effort in the circle and hit the stumps with a direct throw to send back dangerous batter Tim David.

Babar is expected to be back in the field for their next warm-up fixture against Afghanistan and his inclusion will certainly bolster the batting which looked toothless against England.
