Virat Kohli takes first step towards animal welfare; thanks Anushka for inspiring

Kohli

It is no secret that Team India skipper Virat Kohli is an animal lover. Virat has often expressed his empathy, compassion, and kindness towards the animals. Thus, on the occasion of World Stray Animals Day, the Indian skipper took a step towards animal welfare as his foundation, Virat Kohli Foundation, collaborated with Vivaldis.

The two together will work towards building safe places for stray animals along with ensuring that they receive proper medical care and are not left unattended on the roads. Just like Virat, his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is also a big advocate of animal rights and welfare.

Thus, the batting maestro thanked his wife for inspiring him to be compassionate towards animals and pursuing him to start this noble cause. The Delhi-born took to Twitter to share the information regarding the same.

Virat Kohli to return to the field in IPL 2021

After leading the Indian side to victory in all three formats against England, Virat Kohli decided to take a break of 2-3 days and returned to his home Mumbai. Thus, according to the protocols made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli is serving his mandatory quarantine period before he will be allowed to join his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their training and practice session.

RCB had a decent run in the 13th edition of the T20 Extravaganza, hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as after a series of bad seasons, they finally managed to make it to the top 4 by winning seven out of 14 league games played. However, the team had to face defeat in the Elimination round against Sunrisers Hyderabad and was thus ruled out of the elite tournament.

Meanwhile, the franchise will be looking forward to putting their best foot forward in IPL 2021 and win their maiden IPL trophy.
