WATCH: Suryakumar Yadav smacks a 99m six; Hardik gives priceless reaction

Mumbai Indians are up against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 5th clash of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Winning the toss, KKR decided to bowl first, and there began the destruction by Suryakumar Yadav. Though Quinton de Kock went early, Yadav made sure to take the Kolkata bowlers to the cleaners.  However, amid his innings, there was one shot that caught all the limelight and it was his thunderous six that went 99m high.

Yadav was wreaking havoc at one end and it was Pat Cummins’ over going on when he decided to launch the pacer for a humongous six. Yadav was batting at 44 runs and there couldn’t have been a better way to bring up his fifty. The assault took place in the ninth over and it left all amazed. A similar reaction was seen from his MI teammate Hardik Pandya who watched the shot with eyes and mouth wide open.

Though Yadav hit another ball after it for a four, he was caught in the very next over by Shakib Al Hasan. In Hasan’s over, he was caught by Shubman Gill. Yadav scored 56 of 36 balls and already set the opening tone for his team. The miraculous show was nothing new from his end as he is used to bringing such performances for his team every now and then.
