Swashbuckling Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Suryakumar Yadav expressed his gratitude to fans for their support after his franchise crashed out in the race for the IPL final. Notably, the five-time winners suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans, losing by 62 runs in Qualifier 2.
Despite putting up a fight during the 234-run chase, Suryakumar’s 61 runs off 38 balls was not enough to help his side clinch the contest. Following the crushing defeat, the flamboyant batter took to his social media handle to express his gratitude and stated that his side would come back stronger in 2024.
“We bow out of this IPL season with our heads held high. A season of comebacks, filled with more ups than downs. This team, this season, these bonds will remain very special and very close to my heart. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿. Thank you for always having our back, Paltan #OneFamily,” tweeted Suryakumar.
