West Indies set to host India for three ODIs and five T20Is in July-August

West Indies cricket confirmed that Bangladesh, India, and New Zealand will visit the country for an action-packed international schedule for three months from June to August. India is scheduled to play a five-match T20I series against South Africa at home starting from June 9 while another set of players in the Test squad will travel to England for a one-off Test as well which starts on July 1.

The Test will be followed by a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series with the tour coming to end on July 17. India will, then travel to West Indies for a three-match ODI series starting on July 22 and will play a five-match T20 International series which ends on August 7. All these series will act as much-needed practice games ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 this year in Australia and it will be important for the teams to find out their best combinations as well.

West Indies cricket CEO Johny Grave was happy to announce the international home schedule in a statement for the rest of 2022 and acknowledged the support from the fans for hosting across various regions of the Caribbean.

“We are delighted to announce the match schedule for the men’s international calendar at home for the rest of the year. We know our supporters will be delighted with the news that the matches are being played all across the region as well as those living in the USA will be able to see their favourite players in action,” Johnny Grave, CEO of CWI was quoted as saying by Windies Cricket.
