Record at the first-class level

Cornwall made his debut at the first-class level in the year 2014. He has played his entire career for the Leeward Islands cricket team. In 55 first-class matches, Cornwall has managed to pick up 260 wickets. In the recently concluded 4-day tournament, he ended up as the top wicket-taker. He was also recently appointed as the captain of Leeward Islands.

In a match, Cornwall also tried his hands out at wicketkeeping. Cornwall also has some exceptional catches to his name during his time in first-class cricket.

Argument with Pollard

During the 2017 edition of the CPL, Cornwall plied his trade for St. Lucia Stars. Against Barbados Tridents, he was promoted as an opener. One of Pollard’s deliveries struck Cornwall on the stomach.

Cornwall was unable to run between the wickets due to the blow. He then walked off the field to get some treatment, which greatly agitated Pollard. Cornwall did come back to bat again, scoring a blistering 44-ball 78. Despite his efforts, his team lost the contest by 29 runs.

Getting the scalps of Pujara, Rahane and Kohli

The Indian team toured West Indies in 2017. For India’s practice match, Cornwall was selected in the West Indies Board’s President XI team. During his bowling spell, Cornwall managed to scalp 5 wickets. His dismissals included the big wickets of skipper Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.
