WI vs IND: 3rd ODI Preview – India eye clean sweep over Windies

Team India has managed to clinch the ODI series after winning the first two encounters, but both of the matches were close and could have gone either way. The third and final match of the ODI series will be played at the Port of Spain, Trinidad on July 27 (Wednesday) and the home team will want to go one step further and win the match this time.

Batters Shai Hope, Kyle Mayers, and skipper Nicholas Pooran showed some excellent batting skills in the second encounter as the Men in Maroon posted a challenging total on the board. The Men in Blue were looking down and out at one stage of their chase, but all-rounder Axar Patel bailed out his team as the visitors won the match by just two wickets.

The wicket at Port of Spain has been good for batting and another high-scoring encounter can be expected during the third match. The weather is also expected to be clear for the final ODI encounter.

Here’s the probable playing XI for the third ODI between West Indies and India:

West Indies

After losing the series, the Men in Maroon will want to experiment with their benched players. The top-order of the West Indies batting line-up has done well in the series and they will want to emulate their performance in the third match as well.

India

Team India can afford some changes and can give chances to some of their benched players. Ishan Kishan can be given a chance in the top order while Ruturaj Gaikwad and Arahdeep Singh also are likely to get an opportunity given that this match is a dead rubber.
