With that, the home side took a 2-0 lead in the series, with the third game set to be played on Tuesday, August 08th at the very same venue.

Speaking in detail about the second game, the Asian giants batted first and managed to reach a total of 152/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Youngster Tilak Varma, playing in his just second T20I, scored an impressive half-century (51 off 41). Skipper Hardik Pandya contributed with 24 off 18 as his side surpassed the 150-run mark.

Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, and Romario Shepherd all picked up two wickets each and gave away less than 30 runs in their respective spells. In reply, Pooran did the bulk of the scoring to register back-to-back victories for his team against India in this format for the first time since 2016.
