T20 specialist Suryakumar Yadav finally found his rhythm as he smashed 83 off just 44 with ten fours and four maximums to help India in winning the third T20 international against West Indies at Providence Stadium in Guyana. The action now moves to Florida for the final two matches with the Men in Maroon leading the series 2-1.

The fourth encounter is scheduled to take place at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill on Saturday, August 12th, 2023. The fifth and final game will also be staged at the same venue the following day on Sunday as team India concludes their West Indies tour.

Speaking in detail about the third T20I, the home side batted first and posted a competitive total of 159/5 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Brandon King scored a run-a-ball 42 while skipper Rovman Powell slammed an unbeaten 40 off just 19 to help his side in surpassing the score of 155. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the Indian bowlers for his spell of 3/28 (4).

In reply, Suryakumar looked in great touch while youngster Tilak Varma impressed again with his unbeaten knock of 49 off 37. The series is nicely poised with Hardik Pandya and his men looking to clinch another victory to level it 2-2.

Talking about the venue, the first-ever match took place between New Zealand and Sri Lanka way back in 2010 when the Kiwis sealed the contest by a margin of 28 runs. The Caribbean side also played their first T20I at this ground against New Zealand in 2012 when they emerged victorious by 56 runs. Their last outing came against India in 2022 when they got thumped by an 88-run margin. India’s first match came seven years back in 2016 when they lost a thrilling high-scoring encounter against West Indies by just a solitary run.
