Women’s WC 2022: AUS vs ENG – Final Preview

After almost one month of proceedings, the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 will finally come to an end with the final clash between the defending champions England and undefeated Australia. The two countries have met only once in the finals of the World Cup, and this will be just the second instance.

Coincidently, the finalist teams and the host city will be repeating this year as the 1982 World Cup was played between Australia and England in Christchurch, and the same will repeat tomorrow as well. Both the teams are in winning form, with Australia being undefeated the entire season, England has bounced back after three losses to grab four consecutive victories and make a place in the finals.

While England has their players settled, Australia will have the likes of Ellyse Perry in their team, as skipper Meg Lanning has confirmed her return for the final game as a special batter.
