New Zealand will host the twelfth edition of the Women’s World Cup which begins on Friday, March 4, 2022, with New Zealand women taking on West Indies women at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. 1.Suzie Bates

All-rounder Suzie Bates made her debut 16 years back in the year 2006 and has played 135 ODIs. The right-handed batter has struck 4790 runs with an average of 40.94 and the highest score of 168 including 11 tons and 27 fifties. Bates is the second-highest run-getter for White Ferns in the World Cups with 924 runs to her name in 19 WC innings with a solid average of 61.60. She has also taken 75 wickets in 98 innings in the 50-overs format. She also finished as the second-highest run-scorer for NZ in the recently concluded India series with 185 runs in five innings. The all-rounder will be a vital cog for the White Ferns in the home conditions.

2.Amy Satterthwaite

The vice-captain of the team, Amy Satterthwaite has scored the second-most ODI runs for NZ. In 138 matches, Amy has mustered 4464 runs with an average of 38.81. She has smashed seven centuries and 26 half-centuries with the highest score of 137*. The left-handed batter who made her ODI debut in the year 2007 holds the record for hundreds in consecutive innings which is four. She slammed back-to-back four centuries against Pakistan and Australia in November 2016-February 2017. She is also the eighth batter with the most consecutive ODI innings without a duck which is 53 innings. Satterthwaite finished the recent India series with 166 runs in five matches. She can also roll her arm over to bowl with 47 scalps to her name in the format.

3.Amelia Kerr

All-rounder Amelia Kerr was declared as the Player of the Series for her terrific performance in the just-concluded India series. She amassed 353 runs with a mind-boggling average of 117.67 and a strike rate of 97.51. She is one of the two batters in women’s ODI cricket to smash a double century. Kerr scored 300 runs in six matches in the last World Cup in 2017. She has mustered 1039 runs in 46 matches with an average of 39.96 including two tons and five fifties. With her spin bowling, she has also taken 67 wickets in ODIs. She took ten scalps in six matches in the 2017 WC and seven wickets in five ODIs against India recently.
