With 61 wickets to his name, Ashwin was undoubtedly one of the best players for India throughout the cycle and his performances have been crucial in propelling the side to the final of the WTC. Ashwin has represented India in 92 Test matches, where he has 474 wickets to his name.

2. Kagiso Rabada

28-year-old South African pacer Kagiso Rabada was the second-highest wicket-taker in the WTC 2021-23 cycle. With 67 wickets to his name, Rabada was sensational for South Africa throughout the cycle. Over the years, Rabada has been one of the most important players for South Africa. Having played 60 Test matches for the Proteas, Rabada has taken 280 wickets.

1. Nathan Lyon

Star Australian spinner Nathan Lyon remained the highest wicket-taker of the WTC 2021-23 cycle. With 88 wickets to his name, Lyon was undoubtedly one of the most integral players for Australia throughout the cycle and the same has been the case for quite a few years now. His performance in the WTC final was crucial in the Aussies lifting the coveted title as well. In the 120 Test matches, that Lyon has represented Australia in, the veteran has taken 487 wickets.
