For the IPL, teams often try to draw in the young blood in their squads mixed with experienced players. The team with the perfect mixture and right combinations often go on to make it big in this league.

As far as the youngest team is concerned, in the IPL 2020, it is the Rajasthan Royals. The average age of the team is nearly 26 years. The team has got quite a few teenagers in its ranks who help bring the average age of the team down. Akash Singh is the youngest member of the squad and is 18 years of age. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag are two other players who are 18 years old and are only differentiated by a few days. Karthik Tyagi is another teenager in the squad and is 19 years old.

Mahipal Lomror is the next youngest player in the Rajasthan Royals squad at 20 years of age. Anuj Rawat is also 20 years old and is just a few days older to Lomror. Mayank Markande and Oshane Thomas are 22 and 23 years old, respectively. Jofra Archer, Sanju Samson and Tom Curran, who are all 25 years old, are the other three players who are below the average age of the team.

The rest of the players in the squad are above the average age. Ankit Rajpoot is the youngest amongst the players who are above the average age of the team. The fast bowler is 26 years old now. Shreyas Gopal just turned 27 and is next on the list. Manan Vohra and Rahul Tewatia are both 27 years old and only a few days older to Gopal. Shashank Singh and Jaydev Unadkat are the next two players on this list who are both 28 years old.

Ben Stokes turned 29 just a few months ago. Jos Buttler is 29 years old and would turn 30 in a few days from now. Fast bowler Varun Aaron is 30 years old while Skipper Steve Smith and David Miller are into their 30s as well. Aniruddha Joshi and Andrew Tye are amongst the oldest players in the teams. They are 32 and 33 years old respectively. Robin Uthappa is the oldest player in the Rajasthan Royals’ set-up. The Karnataka batsman is 34 years old and would turn 35 by the end of this season.
