Yuvraj Singh reveals name, face of his child with heartfelt post

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh revealed the name of his baby boy, ‘Orion Keech Singh’, on June 19 (Sunday) on social media, along with pictures showing his kid with his wife Hazel Keech. Earlier, on January 25, in a joint statement that was put out by Hazel Keech from her social media account, she had announced the birth of their baby, while also asking others to respect their privacy.

Yuvraj shared the latest social media post on the occasion of Father’s Day, as the former all-rounder wrote that “Welcome to the world”. An emotional Yuvraj, as he spoke about his newly born kid, said that Orion’s name is written amongst stars and that his eyes twinkle with each smile. He narrated that when Hazel was pregnant and sleeping in the hospital, he was watching something where the name “Orion” came from. And as he told his wife about the name, she instantly liked it.

‘Your eyes twinkle with every smile,’ writes Yuvraj Singh

In a heartfelt Twitter post shared by the former World Cup winner, he wrote, “Welcome to the world Orion Keech Singh. Mummy and Daddy love their little “puttar”. Your eyes twinkle with every smile just as your name is written amongst the stars #HappyFathersDay.”

Yuvraj, speaking further about how the name was formulated, said that he also wanted Hazel’s last name to be there in their kid’s name. “Orion is a star constellation and for parents, your kid is your star. When Hazel was pregnant and sleeping in the hospital, I was watching some episodes where the name came to me and Hazel took an instant liking to it. I wanted Hazel’s last name also to come in the baby’s name, so that’s how it came about,” said Yuvraj, who was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

“We had been trying for a while to have a baby but it didn’t happen. Hazel was four months pregnant when she left for England, and just when I had to go, I got Covid, so I had to quarantine for two weeks before I could see her,” he tells us on a call from Goa,” added the 40-year-old.
