5 key Indian players who are currently injured

The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is at its business end and the fans have witnessed some of the most mesmerizing performances with the bat and ball. Some Indian players have shown their true calibre in the tournament; however, some players have missed a good chunk of the tournament and are desperately missed by their respective franchises. On that note, let us look at five key Indian players who are injured currently.

5. Deepak Chahar (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Deepak Chahar was paid a hefty amount by the Yellow Army during the IPL 2022 mega auction. However, the right-arm pacer was ruled out of the tournament owing to a back injury, Chahar has been a vital performer for the defending champions and the Yellow Army has surely missed his services in IPL 2022.

Mumbai Indians (MI) superstar batter Suryakumar Yadav provided much-needed support to the batting order of the Men in Blue and Gold as he made a comeback after missing the first two games due to a thumb injury. However, the right-handed batter was recently ruled out from the tournament with a forearm injury and the five-time champions are dearly missing his services.

3.  Washington Sundar (SRH)

After being released from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), talented all-rounder Washington Sundar found himself a new home in form of the Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL 2022 mega auction. The right-arm spinner bowled some crucial spells with the ball and was quite impressed with the bat as well. However, Sundar suffered a hand injury in the tournament and has been in and out of the team.

2. Ravindra Jadeja (CSK)

Former CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja had a torrid time in IPL 2022. Under the leadership of Jadeja, the Yellow Army performed very miserably, hence the Indian all-rounder decided to step down from the skipper role. Jadeja has also been ruled out from the tournament after suffering a hand injury during a group stage encounter against RCB.
