Whether it may be a 50-over, 20-over game, or even the longest format, taking catches is one of the most important aspects of a game of cricket. Talking about the Indian Premier League (IPL), there have been several hands in the history of the tournament. On that note, let us take a look at five players with the most catches in IPL.

5. AB de Villiers (90 catches)

The Superman from South Africa has taken as many as 90 catches in the history of IPL. The right-handed batter has played 184 matches for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and has grabbed 90 catches. AB de Villiers made his IPL debut way back in 2008 and finished his IPL career in 2021.

4. Virat Kohli (91 catches)

Next on the list is AB’s former teammate and skipper of RCB Virat Kohli. The 33-year-old has played 218 matches for the Red Army and has gobbled 91 catches so far. However, the run-machine Kohli has not been at his best with the bat so far and will look to make a strong comeback in the tournament.

3. Rohit Sharma (95 catches)

India and Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been one of the most consistent performers in IPL. The right-handed batter mostly fields inside the 30-yard circle, but has taken 95 catches in the history of the tournament and will look to add on more in coming years.

2. Kieron Pollard (100 catches)

The big unit from West Indies has taken a total of 100 catches in the history of IPL. Playing for the five-time champions MI, the right-handed batter has delivered some memorable knocks in the tournament along with taking some spectacular catches near the boundary line.

1. Suresh Raina (109 catches)

Former Chennai Super Kings batter Suresh Raina tops the list of most catches in the history of IPL. The left-handed batter had taken 109 matches in 205 matches and can be termed as one of the most prolific performers in the history of the toughest T20 league.
