Adam Zampa becomes the joint-most runs conceded bowler in an ODI game

Star Australia leg spinner Adam Zampa scripted an unwanted record for the country during the fourth match of the five-match ODI against Australia. The match was contested at the Centurion Park on Friday, September 15. Notably, Zampa conceded a hefty 113 runs in his 10-over spell and tied with his compatriot Mick Lewis for the joint-most runs conceded by a bowler in the 50-over format.

Lewis who was a medium pacer had no chance to pick a wicket in that historic game. For the uninitiated, former fa, where South Africa chased down the highest total to set a world record. Lewis holds the unwanted record for the most runs allowed by a bowler in ODIs.

He gave away 113 runs against the Proteas in Johannesburg in 2006. Meanwhile, Andrew Tye, who is third on the list, conceded 100 runs against England in Nottingham, back in 2018.
