ECB unveils England Cricket Team’s new Test kit

As the World Test Championship cycle continues, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) unveiled their new Test kit, days after rolling out their T20I jersey for the upcoming T20I World Cup. The kit includes a newly designed men’s and women’s short sleeve polo, and a knitted sweatshirt. English players Jofra Archer, and Jonny Bairstow were seen donning the new kit for a pose.

The material used behind the making of the new polo jersey is lightweight, high-stretch, and moisture-wicking material in addition to a raglan sleeve cut to provide ease of movement for the players.

The sweatshirt is a classic cable knit design in the main body, with a raglan cut sleeves again, that prioritize movement, comfort, and warmth for the players. It also has soft knitted ribbed cuffs and hems with an embroidered ECB crest. The kit has been designed with the help of key England players so that the final result suits their convenience.

England to wear new kit in New Zealand Test series

The England men’s team’s upcoming schedule includes a Test series against New Zealand, followed by a tour to the Netherlands for an ODI series. After the conclusion of the two series, they will face India in one Test, which was postponed last year, and then carry on with the T20I and ODI series. They will then host South Africa for a three-match ODI series to complete the cycle. England will also be seen in the T20 World Cup that is scheduled this year in Australia.

The ECB has gone through a lot of changes in recent times, with the new Managing Director Rob Key taking charge, England will now see a new captain in the Test format as Joe Root has stepped down from the role. England has not had a successful Test outing in a long time and has barely won any game in the recent past.

Rob Key will appoint two new head coaches, different for the red ball and the white ball format soon. All these developments happened after England lost the Ashes series by a humiliating 4-0. With the new kits, fans will now hope to see the team in good form as well.
