IPL 2022: CSK vs RR Preview – Rajasthan aim for the top spot

The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on the strong-looking Rajasthan Royals in their last group stage encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. While RR managed to beat the new entrants Lucknow Super Giants in their previous match, the Men in Yellow lost their contest against Gujarat Titans (GT).

Talking about the points table standings, the Royals from Rajasthan are currently placed second in the table and will want to win the final group stage match to consolidate their place. Meanwhile, the defending champions are placed second-last in the table and are out of the competition.

The encounter between the two sides will be played at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on May 20 (Friday). The Royals might not want to tinker with their playing XI as they won their previous match. However, the Yellow Army might look to make a few changes in their squad considering this is their last game in the tournament.

Here’s the probable playing XI of RR vs CSK:

Rajasthan Royals

After winning their previous contest against the new entrants LSG, RR will not want to make any changes in the squad and field the same playing XI. However, they will want their premier batter Jos Buttler to make some runs before the all-important playoffs.
