IPL 2022: MI vs SRH Preview – Mumbai seek a sweeter finish to the season

The Mumbai Indians will be locking horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 65 of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 17. With Mumbai’s tournament over, all they would now be hoping is to win their remaining fixtures and sign off in style. In fact, the five-time champions would be oozing with confidence after their five-wicket win over arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s playoff chances are in total disarray after their huge 54-run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders and even if they do manage to win both their last games, it would only be good enough to take them to 14 points.

MI would now be trying to spoil SRH’s party and would be coming out all guns blazing with nothing to lose. With the bowlers and batters now clicking as a unit in what has been a forgettable season so far, the five-time champions would want to salvage some pride.

SRH, on the other hand, would try to put no foot wrong from hereon as they cannot afford another loss. The Kane Williamson-led side have already lost five consecutive matches, which have cost them 10 crucial points. In fact, their winning momentum ended after going down to the table-toppers Gujarat Titans in a last-ball thriller.
