ODI cricket is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining formats of the sport out there. Over the years there have been many supporters that have been treated with many exceptional games over the years.

There have been many instances where the batting sides have put in exceptional performances in the games and scored runs very quickly. Continuing on the same, let us have a look at the top three highest team run rates in an all-out innings in men’s ODIs.

3) Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka (2023)

The third-highest run-rate in an all-out innings was recorded by Afghanistan when the side took on Sri Lanka in the 6th game of the Asia Cup 2023. In the first innings, Sri Lanka posted a total of 291 runs, and aiming to chase down the total, Afghanistan only managed to score 289 runs. However, the side maintained a run rate of 7.67 runs in the game.

2) West Indies vs England (2019), Afghanistan vs Canada (2011)

The second-highest run rate in an all-out innings was maintained by the West Indies when the side faced off against England in February 2019, in the fourth ODI of the series between them. Batting first, England posted a total of 418 runs and chasing the target, the Windies only managed to score 389 runs before they were bundled out. However, they maintained a run rate of 8.1 runs.

Furthermore, a clash between Afghanistan and Canada also had an identical highest run rate in an all-out innings. Both sides faced each other in the 8th match of the 2011 World Cup. Batting first, Afghanistan managed to post a total of 150 runs before they were bundled out, maintaining a run rate of 8.1.

1) New Zealand vs West Indies (2015)

The highest run rate in an all-out innings was maintained in a clash between New Zealand and West Indies when both sides faced each other in the 4th Quarter-final of the 2015 World Cup. New Zealand posted a total of 393 runs in the first

innings. Aiming to chase down the total, the West Indies only scored 250 runs before they were bundled out. However, they maintained a run rate of 8.19 runs in the second innings.
