Batters hardly get time to settle themselves at the crease in the T20 format as each ball carries a lot of importance. A lot of risks are taken by the players in T20 cricket and it always doesn’t come off. In this article, we take a look at players with the most number of ducks in T20I cricket.

11 – Regis Chakabva, Soumya Sarkar

Chakabva has played some fine cameos for Zimbabwe while opening the innings and also while batting lower down the order. The wicketkeeper-batter has scored 682 runs in 49 T20Is at a strike rate of 122.44. However, he has also registered 11 ducks. Soumya Sarkar is another batter with 11 ducks to his name. He is a flamboyant batting all-rounder for Bangladesh. In 75 T20Is, Sarkar has scored 1238 runs at a strike rate of 122.70. These numbers don’t do justice to the potential of the southpaw.

12 – Kevin O’Brien, Rohit Sharma

The Ireland all-rounder is remembered for his whirlwind century against England in the 2011 ODI World Cup that helped Ireland beat their neighbours in Bengaluru. He has scored 1973 runs at a strike rate of 131.01 from 109 T20Is. Irish fans have seen many fine knocks from his willow but they have also seen the legendary batter register 12 ducks.

Rohit Sharma holds the record for the most number of centuries (5) in T20I cricket. His T20I numbers are staggering as he has scored 3974 runs in 151 matches at a strike rate of 139.98. As he tries to take the attack to the opposition bowlers from the get-go, the Indian captain has also been dismissed cheaply on some occasions. He has failed to get off the mark on 12 occasions in the shortest format of the game.

13 – Paul Stirling

The right-handed Irish opener is a dangerous batter. He has won Ireland a lot of matches with his phenomenal hitting ability. In 134 T20Is, he has scored 3438 runs at a strike rate of 135.73. However, he also has the unwanted record of scoring the most number of ducks in T20Is.
