BCCI announces India and India A squad for Bangladesh tour

The senior selection committee announced the squad for India’s upcoming Bangladesh tour on Wednesday (November 23). The 26-year-old pacer Kuldeep Sen has replaced Yash Dayal, who is having a lower back issue, and all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been named in place of Ravindra Jadeja, who is yet to recover from his knee injury.

India play three ODI matches starting on December 4 in Dhaka and will then feature in two Test matches from December 14 onwards. Jadeja, who missed the T20 World Cup 2022, was always doubtful for the series and is now expected to miss the Test matches as well. Regular captain Rohit Sharma returns to the sqaud alongside vice-captain KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were all rested for the New Zealand tour.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav in India A squad:

India A team will play two four-day games starting on November 29 with Abhimanyu Easwaran captaining the squad. The selectors have named veteran cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav for the second game.
