Jasprit Bumrah likely to be rested for the fourth England Test

Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is all set to miss out on the fourth Test of the ongoing series against England for better workload management. The 30-year-old has been in magnificent form and has been one of the most crucial players to the Indian team’s success in the five-match series so far.

Being allowed to rest for the fourth Test, Bumrah is expected to travel to Ahmedabad, which is a four-hour drive from Rajkot. Bumrah, the leading wicket-taker of the series (17 wickets at 13.64), has already sent down 80.5 overs in the three games so far.

It is interesting to note that star pacer Mohammed Siraj was rested similarly for the second Test in Vizag, and no information has come forward on whether the BCCI will seek a replacement player in Bumrah’s absence.
